I think she got with with “dude” because the industry scared her. I don’t think she trusts anyone. Getting with a person she knows is gang related might make her feel “protected”. So when she said he’s about “that life and ain’t playing with none of you” she opted for someone who has no loyalty to nobody but HER. If anyone comes for her she’s gonna have their back financially & legally as well. I don’t think she’s ever going to consider being with no industry dude in fear of not trusting them.
